Pledging 2% of my coaching profits to Scene & Heard

This is an area extremely close to my heart.  It goes without saying that as a coach I want to make an impact but this is much bigger than serving any client list.  Compassion towards self, mankind and the world we live in, is one of my core values.  Perhaps obvious to say, but it’s a key component in maintaining buoyant mental health.  I count myself lucky to have been born in a family that nurtured me, in a location affording many opportunities. Unfortunately this is not true for many and the belief that we are all born equal is sadly way off the mark.  

Since the age of 21, I’ve been volunteering for a number of charitable organisations and still do today.  In all honesty, it’s not pure altruism as the benefits to me are numerous - most of all helping others lifts me out of my own head and keeps me in the present.  The organisations I currently give my time to are The Listening Space (helping with training volunteers), Scene & Heard (performing in productions), Parent Gym (volunteer parent coach) and Action for Children (befriending a young person). I also serve as a trustee for Active Women and Girls Foundation.

I’m now taking this a step further by pledging 2% of my coaching profits to Scene & Heard.  I have been involved with this charity for the best part of 20 years and admire the way they embody using creativity as a tool for growth and increasing self esteem.  Their output is fantastic and they have brought measurable change to countless young people's lives.  So, by working with me you’re not just helping yourselves, you’re helping a whole host of others - literally spreading the love.
